Top 100 firm Rouse merges with tech specialist Finerva creating independent trailblazer

Beaconsfield-based Top 100 accountancy firm Rouse and London-based innovation and tech specialist practice Finerva have announced their merger

Beaconsfield-based Top 100 accountancy firm Rouse and London-based innovation and tech specialist practice Finerva have announced their merger.

The newly combined firm brings together Rouse’s full-service capability and 100-year history in business, with Finerva’s deep focus on ambitious businesses in the tech, biotech and e-commerce sectors.

Through the merger, the team grows to over 110 professionals, enabling clients to access a broader range of services and specialist expertise.

Rouse’s leading presence in audit, tax advisory and personal tax services will be complemented by Finerva’s expertise in fractional CFO and M&A services within the venture capital landscape. Both firms expand their geographical footprint, with offices in central London and Buckinghamshire, offering greater accessibility for clients.

Amongst a wave of acquisitions and private equity activity in the accountancy sector, the Rouse Finerva merger bucks this trend. It allows both firms to benefit from the combined scale and resources, while retaining their independence as an owner-managed firm.

Leighton Bower from Rouse commented: “We are delighted to merge with Finerva, who bring a wealth of new skills and specialisms to our offering. By remaining independent it means that we can continue to offer a personal approach to client relationships and focus on client care. We also see this as a springboard to expand our teams and attract new talent as we continue to pursue further growth.”

Adam Brodie Founder of Finerva commented “I started Finerva because I believed we could build a best-in-country team to provide the best advice to the most ambitious businesses in the UK and beyond, which our team does day in, day out. In my time with Finerva, one other team has stood above all other UK practices for their excellence: Rouse. Thanks to this merger we can continue to attract the best UK accounting, tax and advisory talent into Rouse Finerva, through the hiring of exceptional talent and M&A with exceptional quality practices.”

The teams will continue to operate under their respective Rouse and Finerva brand names. Rouse’s Beaconsfield office, will be led by Leighton Bower, while Adam Brodie will continue to grow the London office, ensuring a seamless transition and maintaining the highest standards of service both firms are renowned for.
