Praxity's position as a leading global association has been confirmed by its short-listing in this year's International Accounting Bulletin Awards.
The Alliance of independent accountancy firms is in the running with four others for the Association of the Year award. Also, Praxity's member firm, Mazars, has been shortlisted in three categories; Network of the Year, Audit Innovation of the Year and Sustainable Firm and yet another member firm, Plante Moran, is a candidate for Best Employer.
Hundreds of nominations were received for firms, networks and associations and these were whittled down by a judging panel comprising former BDO Chief Executive, Jeremy Newman, ACCA Technical Director, Sue Almond, and London City Lawyer, Jane Howard.
Praxity Chairman, Jos van Huut comments: "I'm delighted we've been nominated and subsequently shortlisted for this award, it's a great achievement to have got this far. We started the year in a strong position and appear to be gaining momentum."
The Alliance posted a strong set of results in January - member revenue up by 11.8% - outperforming its peers who reported increases of between 7 and 10%.
John Carpenter House in London will play host to the awards ceremony on 8 March
