Praxity’s Græme Gordon appointed to AAM Board

The Association of Accounting Marketing

Praxity Executive Director Græme Gordon, has been elected to serve on The Association of Accounting Marketing (AAM) Board of Directors Executive Committee.

During his three-year term Græme will be helping lead the international trade association to promote excellence and elevate the professional stature of accounting marketing and business development.

Announcing the election, the association’s executive director Lauren Clemmer said “we are looking forward to Græme’s leadership and commitment to excellence as he helps lead our association and fulfills our vision to be the premier resource for thought leadership, expertise and education in the accounting marketing and business development profession”.

Græme has served on the AAM Marketing sub-committee since 2015, and the Business Development Committee since June last year, but is always hungry for new challenges and opportunities to contribute his considerable experience and insight to help deliver positive change.

“I’m delighted to have been appointed to the role with AAM” he said. “It will bring together my specialist, international, marketing, business development and leadership experience to enable me to help AAM build capacity, capability and the vision to deliver its Vision 2020 Strategic Plan.”

Græme’s current responsibilities as Executive Director, Board and Membership Committee member of the world’s largest alliance of independent accounting firms, Praxity, means he has a rare level of insight into the challenges and opportunities facing accountancy firms around the globe – in particular, the implications for marketing and business development, in which he plays a lead role at Praxity.

Græme considers his role “a fantastic opportunity to bring an international flavour into AAM – drawing insight from Praxity’s global membership – while learning from the experience and ideas the distinctive North American market has contributed to the development of the sector. I want to help share the best of practise, wherever we find ourselves working, to ensure we’re all well-placed to embrace the opportunity in globalisation and to face the challenges of the emerging technologies that are set to transform all business sectors”.

Græme will also be joined on the Board by Nathan Wozniak, marketing operations manager at Praxity participant firm BKD, LLP.

The AAM Board of Directors guides the association through programmes designed to assist accounting marketing and practice growth professionals to generate effective responses to the unique challenges of promoting and selling professional accounting services. The association also provides networking opportunities, benchmarking research data, and delivers career development guidance.
