General Meeting of the Membership
An Ordinary General Meeting is held at least once a year at which the member firms and associate firms of the Alliance
- vote on the annual accounts of the previous year
- approve the budget for the forthcoming year
- discharge the Management Board and Governing Council
- elect any open positions for the Governing Council
- vote on any other matter included in the Notice of Meeting that is properly subject to vote by the General Meeting
The Governing Council
The Governing Council establishes the strategic direction of the Alliance.
Those sitting on the Council are elected by votes cast by member firms and associate firms within the five regions.
The number from each region is as follows:
- 4 from Europe
- 4 from North America
- 1 from each of Africa and the Middle East, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Asia Pacific
The Management Board
The Management Board directs and manages the activities of the Alliance and has the power to:
- admit, periodically review the status compared to the membership
guidelines, terminate members, determine the class of a member and revise the membership guidelines
Persons are elected by and from the Governing Council and include 2 from the European Region, 2 from the North American Region and 2 elected at large.
The Membership Committee
The Membership Committee's duties are specified by the Management Board and make recommendations to the latter concerning the application of potential members, their initial and subsequent classification.
Appointments to the Membership Committee are made by the Chair, subject to approval by the Management Board.
