Clients are often an afterthought when firms decide
to join together. But the combination this year of
accounting firms Weiser LLP and Mazars Group put
client needs at the forefront.
The firms had been working together for 10 years through
a joint venture. Through a recent cooperation agreement,
Weiser LLP will now operate under the name of Weiser-
Mazars LLP as the U.S. member firm of Mazars Group. This
arrangement is designed to enhance services, particularly for
middle-market clients with growing business overseas.
“Our clients have been seeing more and more
opportunities on a global level,” says James Blake,
partner in charge of WeiserMazars’ New Jersey practice.
“The joint venture worked well, but we ultimately
decided we could serve clients more effectively operating
together under the Mazars Group umbrella.”
