Accountancy firm Menzies LLP has won an award as Best Business for Training and Development.
Selecting the firm from a shortlist of six companies, the judges commented on Menzies’ commitment to maintaining its investment in staff training despite the global recession. While many companies cut their training budgets, Menzies increased its commitment to staff development programmes as part of its strategy to maintain the highest standards in client care and advice.
Receiving the award at a ceremony in London, Andrew Denley, Managing Partner at the firm’s Kingston office, said: “We are delighted to win this award. Notwithstanding other cuts that we made in our business, training and development was a fundamental area that we had to continue to invest heavily in. As a business we have to make sure we have the very best talent to guarantee clients the advice and services they require.”
