06/05/2008 - Participant News: Rick Anderson Elected to Praxity Management Board and Governing Council

During a recent meeting of Praxity’s North American member firms, Rick Anderson, Chief Executive Officer of Moss Adams LLP, was elected to serve a three-year term on Praxity’s six-member Management Board and Governing Council.

Praxity is an alliance of independent accounting and auditing firms in 73 countries with over 23,000 professional and combined fee income of US$2.84 billion.  Based on a 2008 survey by the International Accounting Bulletin, Praxity ranks 8th among the largest global accounting service organizations.  Its members rank between 5th and 10th in most major economies, serving the needs of over 800 listed companies and thousands of owner-managed business enterprises.

Anderson said, “The growing exposure of Moss Adams’ clients to multi-national operations drives us to take a strong interest in the leadership and development of our global service capabilities.  Praxity plays a key role in these capabilities and we intend for it to be one of the premier client service alliances in the world.”

Anderson foresees significant growth in cross border exchanges of senior staff between Moss Adams and our counterpart firms in key economies such as Europe, China, and other parts of Asia.  “If we are to be really helpful to our clients, we must assist them with know-how about language, culture, and business practice as well as traditional accounting and advice.  To accelerate this knowledge exchange, we are ramping up the number of temporary assignments for our professionals in foreign countries and for foreign trained accountants in our U.S. offices.”
