SPRINGFIELD, MO. & JACKSON, MISS. – Three Jackson, Miss.-based accounting firms are combining with Springfield, Mo.-based BKD,, one of the 10 largest CPA and advisory firms in the United States. BKD Managing Partner Neal D. Spencer announced the firms’ combination is effective June 1, 2008.

The Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) has approved Mazars Middle East as a registered auditor and ancillary service provider in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). The firm becomes the 13th registered auditor, a group which includes two different Deloitte and PricewaterhouseCoopers members, and the 41st registered ancillary service provider within Dubai’s financial free zone.

The International Accounting Bulletin reports that the largest of the associations of independent firms within the US in terms of combined fee income of participating firms is the newly established Praxity AISBL, which recorded fee income of nearly $1.3 billion.

08/01/2008 - Praxity International Conference 2007

Praxity held its inaugural international conference in Barcelona between 27th October and 30th October 2007. A total of 218 delegates from 75 participating firms attended. These came from a total of 45 countries.
